this beast is such a dream piece — it's a lion ring with out overtly being a lion ring, as it has the trick of appearing much like a dome ring when worn. the face and mane are incredibly detailed and transition from cast details on the head to diamond cut sparkly details throughout the mane

likely dating to the 1940s this piece has had some adventures — it's clear in the photos that there's a slight difference in hue between the slightly rosier hollowed domed band and the brighter yellow tail/head. this is likely from a rebanding repair

this lion's face, especially the eyes, have very chill almost sleepy vibes, which is a wonderful strong, calm vibe to wear. one of the eyes appears slightly more closed than the other, which could be seen as a wink

the white gold collar features engraved and milgrain details accented by small, natural diamonds — the center stone was recently replaced and is a very very slightly different size and color from the other diamonds

head and tail test as 18k, which matches the hallmark on the tail, slightly rosier band tests as a strong 14k, maybe slightly higher

there are strong hints that this ring was re-banded between the head and the tail because the segment between the two is slightly rosier in hue and testsbetween 14k and 18k

the center diamond was replaced recently and isn't a perfect match with the other diamonds

the natural ruby has some heavier surface wear.

surface scratches, dents and dings throughout the gold, most noticeably on the rosier gold domed band

HEAVY time-earned patina on the inside of the band and underside of the lion's head

the band is an oval shape, likely from a previous adjustment in size, and does not sit flush on a ring mandrel
